Samsung violates China’s labor laws: A labor watchdog finds

A Chinese labor watchdog has accused Samsung of violating laws pertaining to labor rights in the country.

According to China Labor Watch, HEG Electronics, where Samsung mobile phones and DVD players are assembled, forces employees to work for unreasonably long hours and child labor is prevalent in the factory.

The Chinese labor watchdog said, "The Company has clearly violated Chinese labor laws. A serious light needs to be shined on these issues."

Amazon releases iPad version of its Instant Video app

Facebook Reports 8.7 Percent of Active User Accounts are Fake

In its recently-shared 10-Q SEC document, popular social network Facebook revealed that nearly 8.7 percent of its `active user' accounts - that is, almost 83 million out of a total of its 955 active accounts - are fake.

Despite the fact that the revelation, that a sizeable number of it active user accounts are illegitimate, could have an adverse impact on the projection that the social network boasts over 955 million active users, Facebook said in the document that it has categorized the fake accounts into three groups --- duplicates, user misclassified and undesirable accounts.

Google has more Zuckerbergs than Facebook

More Zuckerbergs are currently working at Google than Facebook, thanks to the recent acquisition of Wildfire Interactive Inc.,

Emily Eberhard Pereira, a spokesperson for Google, revealed to FoxNews. com that there are currently two Zuckerbergs on staff.

According to Pereira, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s brother-in-law Harry Schmidt and younger sister Arielle are working at Google.

Google buys social media marketing startup Wildfire

Google Inc., possessor of the world's leading Internet search engine, has confirmed that it latest acquisition - Wildfire Interactive Inc., a startup that helps brands optimize their presence across different social networks.

The Internet search & information giant declined to disclose the terms of the purchase. But sources familiar with the deal suggest that the Internet firm will pay around $250 million plus performance incentives for Wildfire.
