Rosatom to promote its nuclear technology and other related products and services in SA

During the course of the ongoing 5th BRICS Summit in Durban, South Africa, Loyiso Langeni - Russian firm Rosatom's overseas press secretary in South Africa - said that Rosatom intends promoting its nuclear technology, along with other related products and services, in the country.

Irish Economy Increases by 0.9%

In the second consecutive year of growth, figures have shown that the Irish economy rose by 0.9% in 2012. The information has been provided by Central Statistics Office (CSO).

Software, transport and distribution had the maximum output growth. They saw an increase of 3.1%, while agriculture, forestry and fisheries decreased by 10%. There was a visible decrease of 4.2 % in the year in public administration and defense.

A decline in manufacturing output and in goods exports has led to the expiry of patents in the pharmaceutical industry.

A six-year -old English springer spaniel named as Hendrix was travelling in a cargo on United Airlines from Newark to Phoenix but was wrongly put in the wrong flight which made the dog to reach Ireland.

United spokeswoman Megan McCarthy said that they have apologized to Hendrix owner Edith Alback. They have told Alback that they have been investigating the matter as how this mistake actually happened.

Martin Paterson Returns

The North Ireland team will see their striker Martin Paterson once again after he was included in the national team for the World Cup qualifiers matches being played against Russia and Israel.

The Irish striker took rest after he suffered many injuries with the sports. He also wanted to be completely fit before taking part in this game.

But Professor Mitch Blair, from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, feels that this is not enough and more needs to be done.

He said, "Vitamin D is an essential nutrient that contributes to healthy, strong bones and helps to control the amount of calcium in the blood. Unlike many other vitamins, getting your recommended daily amount of vitamin D is not that easy."
