Google Drive boasts new features like profile pics, 1-click group chat

In an evident effort to facilitate the Google Drive users in collaboratively using Google's cloud-based storage service for working together on documents and files, Google has recently revealed that it has added profile pictures and 1-click group chat to Google Drive.

With the latest additions to Google Drive notably enhancing the collaborative features of the service, Google's software engineer Eric Zhang said in a blog post that when users open a file in Drive, they will be able to see the profile pictures of other viewers alongside their names.

T-Mobile/MetroPCS merger deal approved by MetroPCS shareholders

In what marked the final step in the approval of the merger deal between T-Mobile and MetroPCS, it was announced on Wednesday that the MetroPCS shareholders have given their go-ahead to the combined T-Mobile/MetroPCS company.

Verizon Communications’ Q1 2013 earnings increased 16%

Reporting its 2013 first-quarter results on Thursday, Verizon Communications said that its quarterly earnings increased 16 percent; with the company's margins witnessing a notably improvement due to the addition of pre-paid wireless subscribers.

According to the figures reported by Verizon, there was a 15.8 percent increase, to $1.95 billion, in the company net income during the first quarter, in which the bigwig telecom company not only added more wireless subscribers, but also saw a steady growth in its FiOS pay-TV and broadband business.
