Following the unbearable global crunch, robberies have increased by manifold in countries like France and Paris. Recently, the United Kingdom’s top diplomat in the Philippines has expressed their sympathy over the graved issue of rioting.
It has been reported that the rioter are looting anything they come across. In the last couple of days there have been many beating and injuries caused by the intruders or rioters. Families are finding it difficult to survive and the presence of rioters is making it worse for them.
Following the increased violence in Philippines, the British embassy is closely coordinating with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is in touch with the Philippine embassy in London to monitor the safety of Filipinos in the affected areas, and to help follow up with the police.
Commenting upon the recent criminal act in Philippines, British Ambassador Stephen Lillie said, “We completely condemn the acts of criminality witnessed during the past week. We will do whatever it takes to restore law and order and to rebuild our communities. Our Prime Minister has made it clear that we are leaving no stone unturned to achieve this”.
