Microsoft bringing ‘store within a store’ demo areas to Best Buy locations in US and Canada

In an attempt to bring the experience of a Microsoft Store to Best Buy, Microsoft has revealed in a recent announcement that it has worked out a strategic partnership with the big box retailer to bring `store within a store' demo areas to Best Buy locations.

According to the announcement made by Microsoft, the move to create the Windows Store at Best Buy will - from later this month onwards - result in Microsoft's `store within a store' demo areas coming up at 500 Best Buy locations across the US and over 100 Best Buy and Future Shop locations in Canada.

Sony’s used game position for PS4 will likely be “exactly the same as PS3”

As per the Kantar statistics, underscoring a year-on-year comparison, the market share of Windows Phone increased to 4.1 percent in February this year; as against the last February figures of 2.7 percent market share.

Ofcom: Orange and T-Mobile are most complained-about networks in UK

In its latest report into the service providers in the UK, communications regulator Ofcom has revealed that the two most complained-about networks in the country are: Orange and T-Mobile.

Samsung violates China’s labor laws: A labor watchdog finds

A Chinese labor watchdog has accused Samsung of violating laws pertaining to labor rights in the country.

According to China Labor Watch, HEG Electronics, where Samsung mobile phones and DVD players are assembled, forces employees to work for unreasonably long hours and child labor is prevalent in the factory.

The Chinese labor watchdog said, "The Company has clearly violated Chinese labor laws. A serious light needs to be shined on these issues."

Mozilla’s Firefox 15 tackles memory lLeaks

The next version of Mozilla's Firefox Web browser promises to present better memory management and important speed enhancements.

Confirming the release of the beta version of the next version of the browser, Firefox engineer Nicholas Nethercote wrote in a blog post that Firefox 15 would prevent most memory leaks that have so far been causing by add-ons, including Firebug.

Nethercote added that the newest version would considerably slash the browser's memory consumption, without any need to upgrade to add-ons.

YouTube introduces face-blurring tool

Popular video-sharing site YouTube has announced a new tool that allows users to blur faces in videos they upload to the website.

YouTube announced the one-click face-blurring tool in a blog, and said that the tool was introduced to give anonymity to users who might fear act of vengeance by public viewers.

After uploading a video onto YouTube, you will see Video Enhancements tool that will lead you to "Additional features," where you can click "Blur All Faces." Clicking on "Delete original video" will trash the original copy of the video with exposed faces.
